10 And we pray this in order that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and may please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God,
Colossians 1:10 (NIV)
5 For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; 6 and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; 7 and to godliness, brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness, love. 8 For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
2 Peter 1:5-8 (NIV)
We must grow in our relationship with God by getting to know Him better.
There are two essential and very beneficial ways to do this.
1. Grow—Individual
We need to spend some personal time reading the Bible and praying. A daily quiet time can broaden and deepen our understanding of God, of others and the situations we face on a daily basis.

2. Grow—Group
Studying the Bible with others helps us gain new perspectives. Hearing and discussing what others understand about a particular passage can help us discover something that we did not see or know. It can also validate the things that we perceive during our personal quiet time. (To see what groups we offer click here.)
Being a part of a group that studies together on a regular basis also provides an opportunity and a catalyst to grow in your relationship with others.
As we grow in our relationship with Christ and one another, we will want to make another commitment—a commitment to SERVE:
